Communion Sundays

We celebrate Communion the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome!

Mark 14:22-25. While they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them, and said, 'Take; this is my body.' He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, 'This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

Intinction

Church words. There are a lot of them and it isn't always easy to know what they mean. At Crossroads, we give communion by "intinction." Merriam-Webster says it is "the administration of the sacrament of Communion by dipping bread in wine and giving both together to the communicant." That is, one tears off a piece of the bread, then dips it in the cup (we use grape juice, not wine), and then eat it.

However, there is no doubt times have changed, so we also have the single serve wafer and juice cups available for those who prefer not to take communion by intinction.
