"Meeting Christ at the Crossroads we journey with all people into the transforming story of Jesus’ love, equipping them to follow in his footsteps."
Poetic words, but what do they mean? At Crossroads, we believe that Jesus commanded all Christians to care for each other. Weak, strong, affluent, broken, contented, lonely, joyous, all are the same in the eyes of the Lord. With Christ’s words in mind, we believe in entering covenant relationships in worship, in supporting each other, in helping whenever we can, and in growing our faith through community worship and interaction with each other.
We also believe in the Great Commission. Jesus instructed His disciples to “Go and make believers out of all nations.” To that end, we strive to equip ourselves to serve God’s kingdom. We pursue missional opportunities whenever they present themselves.
The people of Crossroads support one another through prayer, study, and faith sharing. In fact, it’s our most obvious feature. Arrive before the 10 am Worship service, and you will be welcomed and asked if you would like refreshments. Count on seeing a lot of friendly faces, shaking a few hands, and being told how nice it is to have you join us.
During Worship, expect to see people sing and clap with the music, the occasional hand raised in the air. People tend to warmly greet each other, and lift up each other in prayer. Look around and see if the presence of the Holy Spirit isn’t evident in the faces of the children during their special message or with the greeters near the door, or the music team as they feel their music. The Holy Spirit is present, filling the service with love.
The Spirit also guides us as we work to address the hurts and needs of the world and in particular, the communities outside our doors. Crossroads is involved in several ministries through our Care Groups and programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous.
Most of all, Crossroads accepts everyone on their faith journey. We aim to be one body in a dynamic resourceful organized faith community of love and support where all involved expect to give, receive and be transformed.
